Red Colour with body parts

I have been working with the very youngest kids during last week and the current one, and it has been fun.

Kids got their face parts coloured with red face paint, they looked being happy with that activity.

I decided to make a different version of the song so I could teach the colour red and the face parts:

Red song

"Red, red, red
red, red, red.
I love red.
I love red.
I've got red
I've got red
red, red eyes
red, red eyes."

Students learnt about how to say eyes, ears, nose and mouth, and they also learned where they could find them in their face.

We can sing the song using other colours and other body parts.

"Fingers, nose, tummy, toes"

(Tune: 'Head, shoulders, knees and toes' song)

Fingers, nose, tummy, toes
Tummy, toes
Fingers, nose, tummy, toes
Tummy, toes
Fingers, nose and tummy and toes
Fingers, nose, tummy, toes
Tummy, toes.

The youngest children were singing this song using some cut outs of some body parts for their bodies. Once again, they had fun.
