A Trip to the Emerald Isle!
Last week three teachers from C.E.I.P. Lope de Vega, Juan Jesus, Alvaro and Jesus, visited Ireland. They went as part of an exchange program through the school called Comenius. For five days they visited an Irish school and toured Dublin, the capital city. They had a great time and practiced their English a lot!
In March some teachers from the Irish school will visit us here in Casariche. We look forward to their visit. :) Undoubtbly, this trip was a very positive experience for our teachers and we hope that it is a positive experience for our new Irish friends when they visit us.
Have a look at some of the pictures that the teachers took on their trip!
What animals are these? Do you know the name? These are deer in Phoenix Park just three kilometers away from Dublin. These are wild deer. The park is very big: 712 hectacres!

Good bye!

The Finalist Round!
Monday, May 10, 2010
Bilingual Projects:
These are some of the best projects that 6ºC made to celebrate National Book Day. They are poems by the famous Andalusian poet, Juan Ramón Jiménez, from his book Platero and I. The students wrote the poem in Spanish alongside its English translation and illustrated each one.

Celebrating Book Day--April 23rd
April 23rd is National Book Day. To celebrate books and reading, Kristen and Viola (auxiliares de inglés) have been holding reading groups from pre-school through sixth grade. These are some of the stories we've read:
This is a poetry book by Andalusian author, Juan Ramon Jiménez. He lived in Moguer, Huelva. We have a bilingual edition of the book and the sixth graders are making bilingual murals with excerpts from the book (photos forthcoming).
